We started off as basically a coffee bar with interesting bespoke light bites and platters. We've now moved across town and currently specialise in "egg-cellent" Breakfasts (including a superb range of Shakshuka dishes), and lunchtime light bites and Jackets.

We've also dragged the coffee machine into the 21st century and offer excellent coffee, a range of herbal and other teas, and a damned fine hot chocolate. Healthy alternatives to excessive caffine include our fine Turmeric and ginger or beetroot lattes, no really you just have to try them.

2025 sees us winding down operations in Hassocks before the big move north later in the year.

We open on a weekend

Saturday 7.30-2.15pm and Sunday 8.30-4.00pm

and offer evening events on many Fridays so try us out while you still can. 
Our STREET FOOD SUPPERS - not currently available - can be accessed by booking an evening, or hosting an event which we can cater for, offering excellent food for very decent prices we offer meat, veggie and vegan specialities you just wouldn't normally get under one roof. 
 

If you want to run a group or have a meeting any day of the week, or evening, why not ask us if we can help facilitate? We run quizzes, comedy evenings, two philosophy clubs, book clubs, knit & natter (now at Proper coffee), a tasting supper club under the guise of Cards with chums, and host group meetings.

We have been licenced but have recently decided, in these current times, to move back to B>Y>O. with a small corkage charge (£2.50pp), rather than encouraging you to drink the troubles of the world away
